Why Buy a Bulk Bag of Logs?

Purchasing bulk firewood is the most cost-effective way to heat your home. When you order a ton bag of logs (our large bulk bags), you benefit from wholesale-level pricing and significantly less packaging waste than small plastic bags. It ensures a consistent, long-term supply of dry fuel, so you aren't caught short during a cold snap.

Are the logs left in the bulk bag?

Yes. We leave the logs in the bag so they are left nice and tidy when delivered.

Do you charge for the bags?

We do not charge for the bag as we like to have them returned so we can either re-use or recycle them depending on their condition. We will collect the empty bag when we deliver next time.

How long will bulk firewood bags and loose trailer loads of logs last?

On average, if you light your fire 4-5 nights a week (typically from 5pm to 9pm), a standard bulk firewood bag will last between 6 to 8 weeks.

For customers who prefer a larger supply, a loose trailer load of logs is the most efficient choice; most of our local customers find that 1.5 trailer loads provide enough heating for an entire winter season.

Naturally, this depends on the efficiency of your stove and whether you are burning high-heat kiln dried ash or seasoned hardwood.

Do I need to be in to receive delivery?

No, payment can be made over the phone or via the website and we can drop off in a suitable place.

Seasoned vs Kiln Dried logs | Whats the difference?

Kiln dried logs are artificially dried to below 15% moisture, giving a hotter, cleaner burn. Our seasoned logs are stored undercover for over 12 months, averaging under 20% moisture. The barn dried logs are cheaper as they require less energy input to dry.
