Oak Logs for Sale

Our Oak Logs for Sale

Oak is the log for people who want their fire to last.

It's dense. It's heavy. And once it gets going, it burns slow and steady for hours. Less feeding the fire, more sitting back and enjoying it.

We stock oak in both kiln dried and barn dried, so whatever you're burning it in, there's an option here for you.

Is oak good firewood?

Yes, some say the best. Oak is dense, burns slow, and puts out serious heat. The trade-off is it takes longer to season than most species, which is why buying it ready-dried makes such a difference.

Is oak or ash better for firewood?

Different strengths. Ash lights quickly and gives a great all-round burn. Oak burns slower with more heat over a longer time. Many customers buy both, ash for quick evening fires, oak for longer overnight burns.

How long does oak take to season?

Naturally, oak can take 18 months to 2 years to season properly, longer than most firewood species. That's exactly why we kiln dry and barn dry it ourselves. Every log we sell is already under the 20% moisture "ready to burn" standard.

Can I burn oak in my log burner or open fire?

Yes. Oak works well in both. It suits stoves with a good air supply, and on an open fire it gives a long, steady burn that's ideal for evenings when you want the heat to last.

When do you deliver if we order online?

Once we have received your order, we will contact you to arrange delivery. We aim to make all our deliveries within 1-3 working days or you’re welcome to collect.

Hardwood vs Softwood logs

Hardwood is denser, burns hotter, and lasts longer — so you’ll use fewer logs. Softwood lights easily, burns brighter, and is ideal for starting fires. We recommend starting with softwood, then switching to hardwood for steady heat.

Seasoned vs Kiln Dried logs

Kiln dried logs are artificially dried to below 15% moisture, giving a hotter, cleaner burn. Our seasoned logs are stored undercover for over 12 months, averaging under 20% moisture.

How should I store my logs?

Store logs in a dry, well-ventilated space, stacked off the ground and covered on top. This keeps air flowing and your firewood ready to burn. Our log stores are the perfect solution.
